Vehicles
Ample parking is available in student and faculty lots during the summer. No parking passes are required.
Transportation
Alfred, NY is accessible for day trips to and from Niagara Falls (2 hours), Corning Museum of Glass (1 hour), Finger Lakes Wineries (30+ minutes), and Rochester area attractions (1+ hour).

You can also learn about services available locally, such as banks, grocery stores, the farmers' market, pharmacy, etc. Summer activities include carillon recitals, hiking, swimming, Tai Chi, and visiting the shops in downtown Alfred.
Alfred University Bookstore
Located on the main floor of the Powell Campus Center in the center of the campus, the Bookstore carries a wide range of art supplies, tools, and materials.
Dining
Meals are available to purchase on a walk-in basis in Ade dining hall or Modified Meal Plan: $21.50 (two meals/day/person), or at restaurants in the Village of Alfred. There are a variety of restaurants within both walking and driving distance of campus.

All University buildings are smoke-free.
Animal Policy
Animals are not allowed in any University building unless trained to provide assistance to an individual with a disability.
